Summer

Flims is a popular Graubünden destination for families, bikers and hikers, and is considered one of Switzerland's  most varied holiday regions. It has plenty of hiking trails, mountain bike routes and bathing lakes for adventure and relaxation.

The perfect place for anyone who enjoys exercise and breathtaking natural scenery.

So natural

The mild climate in summer and the three bathing lakes in the region attract many visitors.

With its turquoise green water and picturesque bays, Lake Cauma surpasses many a Mediterranean beach. There is ample space for sun-worshippers on the lawn. A beach volleyball court with boots for hire encourages you to take some physical exercise. As you approach Lake Cresta from Flims, you are struck by its unspoilt natural beauty. With its blue-green water, surrounded by lush vegetation on the shores and set amid a dark green circle of trees, it is easy to see why the lake is part of the canton of Graubünden's protected natural heritage.

Adventurousness

Flims is rightly regarded as a paradise for walkers. 250 km of footpaths, including several themed trails, lead to natural wonders such as the Rhine Gorge and the Flimserstein and Martinsloch mountains.

Especially the Rhine Gorge, also known as the "Swiss Grand Canyon", is one of the most spectacular landscapes in Graubünden and is even unique in the Alps. In the wild canyons you can experience pure adrenaline while rafting or hiking along craggy rock formations

With a dense network of barbecue spots and hikers' restaurants, there is always somewhere to get something to eat or drink. Fancy trying something new? Climbing or Nordic walking will test not only your legs but also your arms. Bikers will love the 330 km of marked mountain bike trails, and there is also a special separate track for downhill riders.
